Team QCH Fundraising Tips & FAQs

Joining Team QCH by creating an event or joining an event is the first step towards achieving your fundraising goal!

Our top fundraising tip is: Just ask! The more people you ask to support you or join you, the more money you will raise. When you tell people about your event and share your own personal story of why you are raising money for Queensway Carleton Hospital, you might surprise yourself at how many people will support your effort!

Double your donations. Many companies have matching gifts programs in which they will match a donation made by employees and retirees. Ask your supporters if their company has a matching gifts program.

Our online fundraising system gets amazing results. We support you every step of the way as you ask family, friends and coworkers to join or donate to your Team QCH event.

Get familiar with your “Participant Centre”. From your Participant Centre you can personalize your Team QCH event and/or personal fundraising page with your story and a photo; send emails to family and friends to ask for donations; monitor your progress; spread the word about your fundraising efforts via your personal social networking accounts; and edit your personal information such as your login, password and fundraising goal.

Personalize your fundraising page. When you personalize your Team QCH event and/or personal fundraising page with your story and photos about why you are raising funds for Queensway Carleton Hospital, your passion will inspire your friends, family and others to support your efforts and make a meaningful difference for those served by Queensway Carleton Hospital.

Send emails. You can send personalized emails to family and friends to ask them to make a donation in support of your fundraising goal. You can also invite people to join your Team QCH event and raise money in support of Queensway Carleton Hospital.

Say thank you. Don’t forget to send thank you emails to your supporters and let them know how their donation makes a difference!

Track your progress. You can regularly check back in your participant centre to track your progress and send email updates to your family, friends and supporters.
